Each year I make a selection of hat bands that work well on any firm ladies or gents hat. Most of my hatbands are made up of pheasant, thanks to the wonderful Aberdeenshire game keepers. The feathers are very tightly overlapped with over a hundred feathers and in some cases as with the Golden Pheasant, up to 300 feathers can make up a band. The ends have velcro fastenings and I do suggest it pinned or sewn onto the hat half way in order for it to be secure. Single tone £25 and multi tone of pheasant feathers £30. Please measure around the base of your hat in centimetres and give sizing when placing your order. Presently I am able to make up pheasant, (not golden phesant), guinea fowl (stock running low), partridge,mallard duck and might have enough feathers for a band or two in polish pheasant(blueblack colour), please enquire by email. I mentioned the multi tone band, this is made with roughly 4 sections of differing coloured pheasant feathers and always includes a section of light blue feathers. Unfortunately, due to lack of blue feathers I can not make a full band of pheasant blue.
